Digital enhancement, also known as "Hot Foil" or "Digital Foil", is the process through which effects that enhance the print and strenghten its communicative effectiveness are transferred to the toner.
It is a well-known process, yet not all printers are able to obtain impeccable results. In fact, very often the toner does not adhere well to the film and small fonts and thin lines are not well-defined.
Often the solution to the problem is sought by varying the temperature, pressure, speed of the laminator, without being able to obtain a truly satisfying result. The reason is simple: the film used is a fundamental variable!
When the application takes place on a laminated print, it is important for the film to retain the toner on its surface. This is why we created Mag Data Velour Dry. Velour Dry is available in the Velour Sense version, to laminate offset or Indigo prints, and Velour Digisense, to laminate toner prints. The film has a surface treatment that guarantees the highest toner adhesion on the market. Moreover, it is together with digital foil Mag Data Foiler (available in a very wide range of colours) the ideal addition for this application.
