The market is constantly looking for new laminating materials which can protect the environment. Mag Data is very sensitive about this topic. This is why it is constantly looking for new solutions for its clients.
For some types of packaging lamination is fundamental both for its protective function and for the important added value given by a visual and tactile effect.
In the "dry" lamination field, Mag Data has recently added an eco-friendly solution. The oxo-biodegradable film is becoming more and more popular among printers who use thermal laminators.
In the "wet" films world there are other solutions besides the oxo-biodegradable one. Among them, the cellulose acetate film plays an important role.
This film is obtained from certified PEFC wood pulp and cotton which are natural and sustainable raw materials.
Both the glossy and matt versions are certified as being industrially compostable according to the European standard EN13432 and American ASTM D6400 (up until a maximum thickness of 116µ).
Besides, the film is suitable for direct contact with food.
The primary applications are standard paper and board lamination, as well as carton windows and label production.
The main features of the glossy acetate are the extreme transparency and brilliance. The matt acetate, instead, has a particularly uniform, deep and refined matt effect. In addition, this material behaves better in terms of curling.
The product is Biodegradable, Compostable and Breathable (anti-fog effect).
The film is now regularly available in stock in three versions, with a wide range of sizes:
CGL014 ACE GLOSS 14 micron glossy cellulose acetate
CMT020 ACE MATT 20 micron matt cellulose acetate
CBL025 ACE BLACK 25 micron black cellulose acetate
